I came home to be greeted by a roasted chicken. I had the parents pick up a chicken, thinking I'd cook it at some point, and apparently, my mom got impatient and decided to do it for me. Can't say I'm complaining -- I was greeted by a piping-hot, slow-roasted chicken when I got home, and there's even good fond in the pan, a good base for some kind of sauce or gravy.

Y'know, you can't go wrong with a roasted chicken. There are just so many uses for one -- just eat the meat, slice it up for sandwiches, shred the back half for chicken salad, make gravy and do chicken and gravy on toast... it's almost endless.

I need to get some more pictures. I'm working on a GD/MCR mood theme, but I've discovered that I don't have all that many pictures that aren't "bored."
