I made a few less-sucky-than-the-last-ones Green Day icons. As always, comment requested/credit required.

Damn you, Apple

They sent me this e-mail offering a free sampler album to get me "back" (I put it in quotes 'cause I've never actually purchased anything from them at this point -- the only reason I used iTunes was for the free songs from Pepsi last year).

But when I go to get the free songs, it says I have to upgrade. First of all, they don't really tell me why except "'cause we said so." Second, it's not like a simple upgrade -- what they make you do when you go to "upgrade" is download the program all over again, the 20-plus-meg new version of the program. Gah. They can't make it easy with a little upgrade tweak, no. They have to basically make me install the program over again, sitting through who knows how long to download it first. I tried it, to see how long it would be. After like 10 minutes, it was at 6 percent. I don't feel like sitting here that long having my connection lagged for their stupid program tonight, dammit.

I suppose I'll have to do it at some point, though, if only 'cause they're starting that Pepsi promotion again, apparently. But I'll have to find a time when I have an open phone line and a ton of free time to set it up to download, walk away and come back when it's done in who knows how long. Bleh. Stupid Apple. They can't make anything easy.
