The power of cheese
Jan. 4th, 2005 11:59 pmI decided to make a quiche today.
This necessitated a trip to the grocery store. I love going to the grocery store. :) I needed a little bit of two cheeses, so I bought a medium-sized chunk of three cheeses -- I needed Emmentaller and Gruyere for the recipe, and there's always a good use for some Parmigiano.
Mmm, cheese. :)
The Emmentaller is, well, Emmentaller, nothing special. The Parmagiano was quite tasty, good enough to lure my mom into the kitchen for a while to snack on it with me. But the Gruyere.... oh, the Gruyere. I might have a new favorite cheese. So tasty. :) I really need to pick up a bigger chunk of this stuff the next time I get to the store, 'cause it's damned good, and it's also almost gone already (well, I really didn't buy all that much to begin with, honest).
