I was all set to watch the new QE, thinking I'd check my e-mail and get an open LJ entry all ready.

And then, I checked my OD e-mail. And I got a couple of bad popups. And yes, look, now I had spyware, random popups, random crap on my desktop, added favorites, changed homepage. Dammit. It took me three AdAware scans to fix everything, and meanwhile, I didn't really get to enjoy QE much, 'cause I was busy dealing with that crap the whole time. Grr. :(

Sonsabitches, part 2

I ran AdAware three times. I ran anti-virus. I thought I was OK.

Today, I boot up to find even MORE crap on my computer, stuff I didn't catch last night. These are programs, not just cookies, so they sorta hide, then throw ads at you.

I gave up and did a full system restore. Hopefully, that should fix it.

I'm never, ever going near OD mail again. I didn't use it much, anyway, so no big loss.

Movie night

I must be turning into a sentimental idiot in my old age. I just watched The Majestic, and I cried almost the entire time. Previous viewing: Requiem For A Dream. Next up: Pulp Fiction.

I can't believe there are no screencaps up for the new QE yet. No caps, no icons. Darnit.

And my cat has developed this bad habit of jumping at bugs. I mean, if he sees a bug that's way higher than he is, even up near the ceiling, he jumps up the wall at it. He can jump pretty high, but still, this is no good, he needs to stop it.
