Story of the day:

Local man gets drunk.
Man gets in his truck, heads for Schenectady to catch a train to move to California.
Man somehow ends up at the Price Chopper in Glenville.
Man goes in the store.
Man pisses all over the salad bar.
Cops come, man ends up in jail.

I mean, dude, if the guy had to pee that badly, why the salad bar? Of all places, why stop at Price Chopper, and why piss all over the salad bar? It's just silly.

Ted was right

I just snagged a coupla Badly Drawn Boy songs off iTunes, and Ted's right... they are really good/odd/evocative/funky/etc. ("he's such a dork" :) ). Good music.

I feel myself definitely moving away from mainstream music again. I was into regular alt-rock, and then I was into obscure club rock, and then I got into modern rock, mainstream stuff mostly, though, and now I'm being pulled in this sort of Pixies/Badly Drawn Boy/Coldplay/White Stripes/Jet/Ok Go direction, stuff that defines "rock" even as it sits largely on the fringes. I could probably become a music snob, dig into some really quality stuff and be a total geek about it, if I had the money to invest in enough CDs now.
