"RENT" is out on DVD today, not the movie but the actual show. Did you know this? I didn't until just now. I have the movie, but I still sorta want this one anyway.

Tea is my new crack. I had some MateVana today, and it was tasty -- chocolate and tea seldom mesh well, but this one did. And then I brewed some Assam Gold Rain and let it cool and packed it in my dinner. Tea is good for you, though, right? Even if it's not so great for my bank account (or possibly my kidneys, if I keep this up)?

The weekend was very nice, as it usually is. :) We went out for Indian food last night, at this new place called Tandoori on Wolf Road. It was alright, but just alright -- I can certainly think of other places I'd recommend first, like Shalimar for one.

And there's no new word on my sister. Could be a cried-wolf thing at this point, I don't know.

I just remembered that I had meant to post about the Super Bowl ads, since I actually did end up watching the game.

Here are my picks:

Best "awwwww!": The Budweiser one where the horse runs away to be with his girlfriend who's with the circus. Awwwwww. :)

Best redemption of a previously annoying campaign: The ETrade babies, 'cause while I've always found the one baby just sort of annoying, the second baby singing "Take these broken wings!" was awesome. :)

Most irritating use of music: The Coke commercial where the bugs steal a bottle of Coke, set to music from "Peter and the Wolf." You just can't use music that's that identifiable with one specific plot and set of characters in a generic, unrelated sense. It just doesn't work.

Most humorous blast from the past: The Cash4Gold commerical with MC Hammer selling his famous gold Hammer pants and Ed McMahon selling his sold gold toilet ("goodbye, old friend," he says with a fond pat).

Best overall: I can't find this one in the online rundowns of the ads, so maybe this one had aired before, but I'd never seen it ... the Bridgestone one with the astronauts rocking out to House of Pain's "Jump Around." It's funny to watch them break it down on the moon, and then the reaction at the end is equally amusing.
