A sigh of relief
Nov. 7th, 2008 01:20 amSuddenly, there's a lot less angst in my life, at least for now.
The election is over.
It's Thursday and almost the weekend.
And I'm accidentally ahead on my word count now -- I was behind earlier today, needing another 200 words to make "today"'s quota (the 6th), plus 1,700 more for "tomorrow"'s (the 7th). I forgot to take my stick drive to work with me, but I had some spare time and remembered where I left off, in a convenient spot where a character was about to tell a story, so I just had to write the story as my next part. So I wrote tonight while I was at work, between things, making an e-mail to myself and saving the draft throughout the night, then mailing it before I went home.
Apparently, writing in e-mail isn't such a bad idea, especially when there's no word counter to obsessively check. I'm now ahead about 200 words, with tomorrow's quota done. Huzzah.
