Aug. 3rd, 2007 01:02 amGot my car fixed today, so it doesn't make a squeaky noise anymore. They gave me a loaner this morning, so I could go home and get some more sleep. I dubbed it the Boat Of Car, 'cause it was white and four-doored and very, very big, like a cruise ship.
I didn't realize that some of my closest friends had Facebooks, but they friended me today, so yay. Guess that'll make it a more hospitable place for me.
Going on vacation in nine days. My first real solo vacation, believe it or not, at age 28. There's so much I haven't done at my age that I should have. I deserve it, though, and I need it, so even though it's an unnecessary expense, I'm gonna go away for a couple of days, off to Maine, to eat lobster and lie on the beach and try to make myself relax.
And I had an idea for a poem, which is the reason I logged on tonight, after work, when I got home. And now, I don't feel like writing it. Inspiration is fleeting, especially when your muse is nearly dead.
