Everything is alright
Feb. 7th, 2007 11:57 amI'm coming off a three-day weekend, and despite the fact that it ended up being all good, I'm still glad it's over.
Last night, I had to go to traffic court, which was one of the most horrible, fear-inducing, stomach-knotting experiences I've ever had. Miracle of miracles, though, I didn't even have to say anything -- they reduced the ticket, I paid a small fine and I was on my way. I'm so ridiculously relieved to have that over, after having it hang over my head for a month, waiting for the trial date. That was just awful. But it's over. Yay! And because it's over, I still have one day off left to use at work that I won't need to use on a driving class. Double yay!
The rest of the weekend was delightful, as time spent with Joe often is. We really had a chance to reconnect and remind ourselves of why we love each other and why we're still together after more than a year and a half. :)
And now, I have a four-day work week. And then, there's Valentine's Day, my second happy Valentine's. And then, a week later, barring a blizzard up north, I'll finally get to meet Joe's family. Huzzah! :-D
