The good times are definitely current
Nov. 5th, 2006 11:29 pmWhat a wonderful day.
First, I slept in, 'cause I worked late last night and was totally beat from an exhausting day of sitting in one place while being bored out of my skull for a really long time. Then, I had a leisurely morning, ambled into the shower, watched some TV, and then I took over the kitchen -- I invited Joe over for dinner, and I made him his favorite meal, lasagna with Caesar salad and garlic bread.
Dinner came out well, just fine, and we had a nice dinner with my parents, and everybody seemed really pleased and said it was really good. Then, Joe and I spent some time together, first watching TV in my room, then over at his place up in his room, just catching up and enjoying each other's company after not having been able to spend much time together lately.
It was a simple day, nothing more exciting going on than me making dinner, but it was truly wonderful, the kind of day you wish didn't have to end.
