Wow, the Giants really got their asses handed to them, huh? I'm probably supposed to be upset about that, but y'know, I'm not. I guess it's 'cause I've never really had any loyalty to the Giants. I mean, with my other sports teams, I had some good reason to pick them -- with the Yankees, I went to games as a kid with my family, and with the Isles, I was a big fan back when their AHL team played in Troy. Truth be told, when it comes to football, I've always had a soft spot for the Bears anyway, 'cause they're the ones who did the "Super Bowl Shuffle" when I was little, and now, with a boyfriend who's a Bears fan, well, I just don't have my heart in being a Giants fan, even though they are the New York team (well, the only one I don't actively dislike, anyway).

Went shopping today. Good times... went to Target, then got some groceries (I have no idea how the parents can get groceries and yet there's still nothing in the house for me to munch on or take to work for dinner). Had a nice, quiet evening after that, dinner at home, read a bit (still working on Wicked) and watched some of my Muppet Show DVDs.

There's a new Strong Bad e-mail... in the words of the man himself, holy crap! They haven't updated in nearly a month (a day shy of a month, I think somebody posted). 'Bout time they put up something new, seeing as they stiffed us on a Christmas toon and everything. It's a pretty good e-mail, at least, with material to amuse cartoon buffs, children of the '80s and science geeks alike. :)

I've decided that Windows Update hates me. I keep trying to update my parents' computer, but theirs is pretty behind, apparently. I got all of the files to download, but when it goes to install them, it'll install one or two, then stall on one and just hang there until I have to force-quit and force-shutdown. Bleh. I'm half-tempted not to bother with it. I can get most of the files to go, I think, but it'll be painfully slow with all of the rebooting and such, not to mention that the ones that won't install are probably the most important ones.

First Good Show Of 2006 Alert: Fall Out Boy is coming to the Pepsi. That's right, the Pepsi. They've gotta be closing off the seats for this one, seriously. I don't care how popular FOB has gotten. And I don't care that they're touring with All American Rejects, and Hawthorne Heights, and From First To Last. There's still no way they're filling an arena, when MyChem couldn't (they sold out some big places on their first big headliner, but they were still all-GA shows, no seats). I suppose with four solid acts like that, they might have the bottom seats open, maybe. No way they'll have the top open, though, for sure. If I thought they'd have seats at all, which I really don't, I'd look into getting a ticket, 'cause that's a show I'd definitely go to, but it wouldn't be worth it to me to fight it out on the floor -- they're four really good bands, but I'm not a huge fan of any of them in particular.
