Cracker challenge
Oct. 1st, 2005 12:28 amFun fact: It's impossible, or at least highly unlikely, for anyone to eat nine Saltines in one minute.
This is what goes on at night in the newsroom -- four journalists stuffing crackers into their mouths and timing each other to see how many they could eat in one minute (and if you have any in your mouth, that doesn't count). Most of us got five. One person got six. And a reporter who was there earlier, when this discussion began and before one of our number went out to an assignment and brought back a box of crackers, swore he did seven when he was in college.
In other news, I've been planning out my oddly scattered days off, realizing that there's more I want and need to do than time to do it in. The oil change, a priority. The Mensa get-together, one that I can finally go to, sadly not a priority, despite the fact that I haven't been to one yet and would like to. Ah, well, maybe I'll get another Friday off sometime and have nothing to do.
