The guy I work with (well, one of them) mentioned tonight that he has a blog. I had the foresight to ask which host he uses. One short Google-trip later, I have a new Live Bookmark in my feeds folder. Coo'.

I've got to share this, 'cause it's hilarious (unless you're one of those people who's so religious that you have no sense of humor whatsoever) -- the aforementioned coworker pointed me in the direction of The Brick Testament today. It's a site with Bible stories re-created in Legos, and it's really amusing (way more amusing than it should be). Make sure to look in Genesis at the first picture under The Flood -- look closely and you'll see what made me gasp, then laugh until I cried, at work today. :-D

I did a little cooking tonight. I had the intention of making some sort of Shalimar-esque rice dish, but since I'm an idiot (well, actually 'cause I got distracted trying to find the probe part of my probe thermometer), I overcooked the rice a bit and it's a tad dry. Still, it didn't come out too horribly bad -- I made curried rice, then cooked some chicken thighs and shredded the meat into the rice. I wish I'd had some plain yogurt in the house, so I could've attempted a yogurt sauce, but I didn't think that far ahead or else I would've stopped to the store. As it was, I threw in a bit of cream and put it in the fridge -- I'll let it all mingle overnight, then fuss with it again tomorrow.

One more day 'til the weekend. I'm thinking I might make chocolates this weekend. Of course, I also have painting duty -- the downstairs is all painted and prepped, and it's my job to finish it up (which the parents seem antsy to have done). Bleh. I guess it's not too bad, except that the stereo I had down there last time isn't down there anymore, so no tunes while I work. Ah, well. Busy weekend ahead, in any case.
