Under the table and dreaming
Jul. 4th, 2004 12:20 amThe DMB show was... OK. Not bad.
But Jess wasn't really digging the lawn experience (translation: hard ground plus potheads and smokers stinking things up). And they weren't playing a whole lot of songs I knew. And we were kinda getting tired. And they seemed to stretch every damned song out for like a half-hour -- I mean, I know sometimes bands will stretch out the end of a song a bit, 'cause y'know, Dave's tired, someone needs to switch instruments, whatever, but this was like every goddamned song, to the point that I was thoroughly sick of it and praying for it to end before the song stopped.
So it wasn't a bad show, really, and parts of it were actually pretty enjoyable, but we got sorta tired of it and snuck out a bit early.
