Things I learned today

1. Holey Cow = bad idea. The Holey Cow is a wrap at the Pickle Barrel that's roast beef and swiss cheese with Russian dressing, lettuce and tomato. Those things didn't mix well -- I felt sick before I even finished eating.

2. Sugar on top of that = not such a great idea, either. Despite the fact that my stomach was just starting to calm down and feel not like I was gonna puke at any minute, I decided to stop on the way home and get Creme Eggs and Pepsi. Bad idea, dude. Bleh.

3. It is possible to spend an entire day doing only three pages. It's even possible to spend 7 hours of an 8-hour day on a single page, but I really doubt that's possible for me personally.

4. I got the time off I wanted for April. Huzzah.

5. Jay Murnane has died. You Sagees might remember him as the Ark guy, the hippie guy who got an honorary degree at graduation, I think it was last year. I don't know why he died, though he didn't seem all that old. It's not in his obituary. The only reason I know he's dead is that I saw a story about him on the Record's budget today (meaning we'll know more when tomorrow's story hits the streets).

Ooh

I just found out that Maroon 5 is coming this summer, with opener John Mayer. Now, I wouldn't really call myself a "fan" of either, but what I've heard of their music was listenable, and it's likely to be the best shot for a show this summer, seeing as it'll probably be decent and probably not eight million bucks a seat like some shows (*cough*Sting*cough*Rush*cough*they'renoteventhatgood*cough*).

I gotta start paying extra attention to the bulletin board at work, 'cause they get pre-orders for tickets.
