Things to do -- reminders for me

In the next two days:

1. Go to the bank and get some money, 'cause I'm totally broke.

2. Go into the village or up to the mall, 'cause either place is supposed to have Burt's Bees stuff, which I want to get and try.

3. Tuesday night, go to Borders and get at least one decent paperback for waiting-room reading, bored-at-work reading, etc.

4. Do laundry! I have like one clean shirt and no pants, it's pathetic.

5. Wednesday, get the oil changed in the car.

Next weekend:

1. Go to the comic store.

2. Go to the liquor store.

I am heroic couplets; most precise And fond of order. Planned and structured. Nice. I know, of course, just what I want; I know, As well, what I will do to make it so. This doesn't mean that I attempt to shun Excitement, entertainment, pleasure, fun; But they must keep their place, like all the rest; They might be good, but ordered life is best.

Things that didn't get done

1. Go to the bank and get some money, 'cause I'm totally broke.
I had the best of intentions. I was almost ready to leave at like 2:40... and then we got a snow squall. Ten minutes of warming up the car, then off to the bank just in time? No, now it was fifteen minutes of warming up the car, 'cause it would have to be extra-warm to melt the fast-falling snow, then drive to the bank on snowy roads in near-zero visibility. Translation: Snow = not enough time to get to the bank anymore before it closed. Dammit. I got up early and everything. I could've slept in.

2. Go into the village or up to the mall, 'cause either place is supposed to have Burt's Bees stuff, which I want to get and try.
Nope, I'm a lazy ass. It was cold, and it wasn't pressing, so I decided that I didn't feel like going all the way to the mall or trying to park in the village. Maybe next week, when I'll need to go to the comic shop, anyway, so I'll already be in the village.

At least I got SOMETHING done -- I got Jennifer Government, newly out in paperback, plus a David Sedaris book and the full Hitchhiker's compendium.
