Majesty is a true leader in every sense of the word. She's intelligent, confident and sophisticated. She's comfortable in a variety of social circles and, although she never steals the limelight, she rarely wants for attention. At heart she's a diplomat and tactician, adept at delegation. A real classy lady!

Today was a good day at work, though very busy (six pages, that's a big load for one day for one person), and I look forward to tomorrow, Travers Day, the best, craziest day of the year at the paper. I'm sure glad I'm not one of those tourists who planned their vacation around this race, though. After months of anticipation, people all over looking forward to the big Funny Cide/Empire Maker rematch... they both scratched today. Empire Maker got sick, and Funny Cide's getting over being sick, not well enough to run. It's a shame, though, that with a week left in the meet, it looks like the hometown hero's not gonna run here this year. Really, it'd be nice if they'd run him in a smaller race, maybe a GII near the end of the meet, if he's up to it, just so we'd get to see him run once this year and he could pick up a little easy money. True, there are still good horses in the Travers, but those two were the main event, and it's sad that they're out (though really, I'm glad Empire Maker got sick, I'm evil like that). I'd put money on almost all of them. Sky Mesa was awesome last year, though he's the senior citizen of the field. Peace Rules, of course, is a good horse. Strong Hope won the Dandy, so you can't count him out, either. Ten Most Wanted, sure, he could do it, too, you never know. Even longshots like Wild and Wicked and Congrats, well, they don't call it the Graveyard of Favorites for nothing. I guess we'll see tomorrow. If nothing else, it'll be an exciting day in the newsroom.
